Joanne Hock is an award-winning writer, director, and cinematographer whose work spans feature films, documentaries, television, and commercial production. Known for emotionally grounded, character-driven storytelling, she brings a distinctive visual sensibility and extensive experience as both a director and director of photography.
Her feature directing credits include When We Last Spoke, The Ultimate Legacy, Discarded Things, Trinity Goodheart, Purple Dreams, Heaven Sent and Disconnected which premiered at the 2026 Heartland Film Fesival. Her television and documentary work includes more than 30 episodes of true-crime programming for Discovery ID, A&E Biography, and Lifetime.
A three-time MidSouth Emmy Award recipient, Hock earned an Emmy for directing Trinity Goodheart. Her screenplay, Wednesdays at the Gem, was also recognized in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Nicholl Fellowship competition.
